About the Opportunity
- Direct and monitor the delivery of Care at Home services in a manner consistent with established policies and procedures;
- In cooperation with the Regional Director and Marketing department, develop and/or implement marketing and promotion strategies to support Care at Home;
- Implement and maintain effective and efficient operational procedures, quality assurance standards, reporting systems and controls, to ensure the proper and consistent delivery of client services as well as billing and payroll;
- Manage approved operational budgets, noting deviations from established objectives and/or trends;
- Oversee the recruitment, selection, education orientation and retention of qualified staff;
- Supervise staff; provide ongoing feedback on performance; conduct regular performance appraisals in accordance with the performance management program;
- Communicate with facility management when there is a significant change in the client's physical or mental condition;
- Oversees the Care Planning process for clients assessed for at risk behaviors;
- Discusses recommendations and plans for change in service package or additional care with clients, family or facility management following health assessment update;
- Collaborates with facility management and team members to evaluate clients to determine the extent to which health service needs are being met and adjusts service plans as necessary;
- Investigates and implements corrective action as required related to client and employee incidents;
- Displays behavior consistent with adherence to organizational standards. Manages staff issues, utilizing the appropriate resources as needed;
- Support Shannex initiatives, as needed, to provide for a coordinated team effort to meeting the needs of clients;
- May be required to work flexible hours and shifts when required including, on call rotation.
About You
In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in the field of healthcare, health administration, business administration; nursing or practical nursing;
- Minimum (2) two years of previous supervisory/leadership experience in health service or senior living environment;
- Experience in management of human resources including staffing allocation, performance management, education and preparation of work schedules;
- Alzheimer's Disease and other Dementia Care Course considered an asset.
