Job Details:

• Position: Warehouse Worker - Part-time
• Pay: $20/hr
• Schedule: 1 pm starts, Monday-Friday
• Shifts: 4-5 hours/day
• Location: Ottawa South/East

We're hiring a Warehouse Worker to join our team on behalf of a growing Ottawa Multi-National Business. Our client's main business involves the production of specialist, metal detectable, and x-ray visible products which mitigate against foreign body contamination in food and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. This is a part-time role, which means it is highly suitable for a person with a young family who can and wants to be flexible with their work-life balance.

Responsibilities:

• Picking and packing orders
• Loading and unloading of stock and deliveries
• Manufacturing or assembling products
• Updating IT systems to ensure accurate stock control
• Assist in unpacking, inspecting, and quality checking products and their parts and repacking
• Raise quality assurance concerns before items are shipped to customers or satellite facilities
• Ensure all health and safety regulations within the company are adhered to
• Maintaining a neat and tidy work area

Requirements:

• Ability to work at a fast pace and meet deadlines
• Deal with multiple orders simultaneously / Ability to multi-task
• 6 months - 1 year of previous and verifiable warehouse experience
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs when needed
• Long periods of standing

Working Relationships:

• Manufacturing Manager: You will receive training to bring you up to speed with local procedures and be your point of contact when difficulty arises.
• Sales Team: Orders may be requested earlier due to customer interaction. You should be able to give updates on the delivery of these.
• Company Directors: The company is structured for regular communication and updates with senior management.
