Your Contribution
As a Civil Technologist, you will work in collaboration with the Civil team
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Prepare and develop the concept, presentation, detailed and tender ready design of various civil engineering projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including corridors and surfaces;
- Develop construction quantity and cost estimates, complete with required calculations and evaluations;
- Perform constructability review of projects;
- Analyze data and report on findings;
- Maintain and progress with current industry standards;
- Responsible to advance and understand project requirements related to current development standards, specifications, and guidelines;
- Maintaining and building client relations;
- Meet project budget and deadlines;
- Participate in project and client meetings.
- Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules
Your Profile
- Strong experience in municipal/civil infrastructure design.
- Civil Engineer or Civil Technologist with a diploma from an accredited university or college;
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite;
- Must be licensed, or eligible for registration with AETTNL in the province of NL;
- Previous experience performing site inspection of municipal, transportation, and private engineering projects would be an asset;
- Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety;
- Experience in site development;
- Possess a minimum of 10 years relevant experience post-education. A combination of education and experience may be considered;
- Comfortable in expressing new ideas or strategies;
- Ability to communicate effectively;
- Desire to grow and accept challenges;
- Ability to focus and work on multiple projects;
- Must be able to work in a team environment to accomplish common goals;
- Ability to provide mentorship to junior staff;
- Be motivated by your success and assist in motivating others.
- The following skills will be considered an asset: Proposal writing, Report writing, and Modelling
