- Improve and promote safety programs by compiling data, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with legislation.
- Advise senior management on policies and offer technical support in interpreting legislation, company policies, and procedures.
- Formulate implementation plans for new safety management systems and mentor employees on these systems.
- Manage HSER Committees, Supervisors, and Worker Safety Representatives, and liaise with third-party medical service providers for Return-to-Work processes.
- Develop strategies and implement improvements based on audits, incidents, and investigations to enhance safety programs.
- Share and format department safety-related information, and facilitate procedural changes.
- Demonstrates strong initiative, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively without extensive supervision.
- Maintains an excellent safety record and can handle occasional exposure to temperature extremes, moving machinery, and noise.
- Exhibits strong teamwork and English communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and can stand and sit for long periods with some opportunity to move about.
