Job SummaryThe Vice President of Human Resources and Chief - Public Engagement and Communications is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Executive Assistant.
The Executive Assistant performs a variety of administrative responsibilities such as managing the schedules, appointments, and meetings; coordinating and organizing travel, events and activities; reviewing and organizing budgetary resources and following ups as appropriate. The Executive Assistant receives, screens and responds to inquiries independently, and provides secretarial support to senior level committees, other members of the executive team and their assistants as necessary; and manages confidential files and other sensitive information. The Executive Assistant coordinates and acts as a resource for provincial, regional, and internal committees including the various programs and special groups.
Job Qualifications
Education
Completion of a recognized/approved three-year Business Management Program or a related Degree. Consideration will also be given to candidates having a two-year office administration program and considerable experience.
Courses and proficiency in MS Office Products, Internet and various other computer applications are required.
Experience
A minimum of five years' experience within the last seven in a progressively responsible administrative role; preferably at the Executive Level is required.
Considerable experience meeting deadlines, while maintaining a high level of productivity, accuracy and efficiency.

Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
Ability to multi-task and be a critical thinker.
Ability to handle complex projects, under pressure and respond appropriately within deadlines.
A skilled typing speed of 45 wpm is required. A typing test may be administered by the Department of Human Resources.
