BioVectra Inc. has an immediate opening for a Supplier Manager. This is a full-time permanent position located in Charlottetown, PEI.
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading the supplier management program incorporating sound quality, economic, ethical and performance-based elements. Aligning the overall supplier management program with the corporate category management program, and QMS (Quality Management System).
- Managing supplier master file records in collaboration with the Category Manager.
- Identifying supplier and corresponding supply chain risk elements, developing mitigation strategies, and implementing corresponding action plans.
- Establishing and reporting appropriate supplier and contract management metrics.
- Oversight of BIOVECTRA's supplier score card program.
- Providing training, coaching, supervision and expertise to procurement team members in respective program pillar.
- Staying current with the supplier community supporting the category management program while also identifying new options promoting competition, quality and supply diversity.
- Ensuring all contracts and agreements are properly catalogued to support contract performance management and reporting.
- Collaborating with business unit stakeholders to ensure supply / services contracts are compliant with BIOVECTRA policies and procedures. Leading or assisting with contract and agreement negotiations.
- Designing and implementing cost savings strategies or programs.
- Meeting with suppliers as required to maintain and strengthen the business relationship to maximize value, while minimizing risk.
- Managing RFP, RFQ or similar competitive bid processes using standardized methods, tools and processes.
- Migrating hidden spend to visible spend using SKU creation or vendor managed inventory programs.
- Ensuring the supplier - stock code cross reference system is properly structured, secured and maintained.
- Implementing assigned procurement on-boarding strategies for new projects across all business units.
- Sourcing goods and services in a global setting, ensuring alignment with the category management program and strategic requirements.
The successful candidate for this position should have:
- Undergraduate degree in Business, or Science fields.
- Five years of supplier management or related procurement experience in a highly regulated environment.
- Experience working with Syspro or a similar ERP program.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient communicator, both written and oral.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and team skills.
