BACKGROUND and POSITION SUMMARY
Over the past several years, communities across New Brunswick have shifted their focus from managing homelessness to working to end it. A key priority in ending homelessness is an integrated information system to enable aligned data collection, shared information, and enhanced coordination efforts. In the homeless-serving system, one of the tools used to collect robust data is HIFIS (Homeless Individuals & Families Information System) which is a computer software system designed by the Government of Canada to assist service providers with daily operations such as case management, booking in clients, maintaining bed lists and producing reports. The Human Development Council is responsible for the implementation and support of New Brunswick's homelessness information system (HIFIS) and is seeking to add a skilled member to its team to help a data-driven approach to homelessness reduction efforts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work as a team member to support HIFIS implementation throughout the province
· Support the delivery of consistent and ongoing HIFIS training
· Receive and respond to support requests from HIFIS users
· Support daily troubleshooting with the team as required
· Conduct regular audits to ensure proper use of HIFIS and identify areas for improvement
· Co-create help documentation tools and training videos
· Oversee and complete data cleanup projects as required.
· Develop and disseminate HIFIS training materials and resources
· Other activities as assigned
Qualifications
· A Diploma from a related 2-year College programme is of interest.
· Experience working in the Homelessness Sector- Frontline Experience preferred.
· Experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external community partners
· A demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities and maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality.
· Technological experience/proficiency in key tools like Word, Excel, and Power BI at different levels, from basic document editing to advanced data analysis
· Interpersonal skills (Conflict resolution, relationship building and fostering collaboration between multiple parties)
· Experience creating help documentation for software using tools such as Canva
· Must be Bilingual.
· Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
