The Senior Manager will contribute to the overall success of the governance and oversight of a large change program in Risk. The role is responsible for supporting the continuous improvement of program governance and capabilities of a multi-year business transformation program. Perform independent and objective assessment of the business' readiness to adopt and sustain change throughout the transformation program.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Design and enhance program structure at the governance and delivery levels to ensure the right direction and effective delivery
  • Support the development of effective governance processes to swiftly address key risks, issues and changes arising through the program. Support the Director in setting appropriate decision authorities to support efficient execution while reducing time spent on unnecessary project tasks and deliverables
  • Conduct objective analysis of the organization's ability to absorb change and implement appropriate Change Management and Communications programs to ensure strong adoption and sustainment of change
  • Collaborate with the program delivery teams to develop and continuously refine integrated project and program plans including adequate work breakdown structure, key inter-dependencies, milestones and resource allocation
  • Support implementation of superior project delivery practices to enable successful outcomes against stated obligations
  • Support and deliver timely and consistent financial management and program reporting as per established standards
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, analyze data, and generate reports to assess program effectiveness, identify trends, and provide data-driven insights
  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Creates an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred
  • Demonstrable success in leading large-scale projects involving geographically and functionally diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent skills in developing executive presentations, socializing complex proposals and facilitating senior management working sessions to secure key decisions
  • Strong experience in project/portfolio resource planning, reporting, prioritization, and budgeting
  • Ability to promote innovative ideas and accept the risks that are required to lead change
  • Strong experience in Compliance and Risk Management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to succinctly convey information to senior management
