Definition of Work: Minimum of 5 years current experience (within the last 7 years) in mental health and/or addictions. Advanced knowledge of theoretical approaches and therapy pertaining to mental health and addictions is required. Candidates should have clinical experience in the provision of comprehensive psychological assessment, intervention techniques/strategies, and therapy to individuals, families, and groups. Effective teamwork, communication, and inter-professional skills are essential. Experience working in an interdisciplinary community-based mental health setting would be an asset. Demonstrated ability to direct, supervise and mentor students. Graduation from an accredited university with a Masters’ Degree in Psychology. A Doctoral Degree in Psychology or a Masters’ Degree in Clinical Psychology is preferred. License and registration with the Newfoundland and Labrador Board of Examiners in Psychology is required.
