Corey Nutrition Company is a family-owned manufacturer based in Fredericton, New Brunswick. We are known for producing high quality pet food and aquafeed and ship our products worldwide.

We currently have an opening for a full-time employee to join our finance team as an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This position will be based out of Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Controller, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will manage all aspects of accounts receivable, including payment application and collection.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, billing, and collections, ensuring accuracy and promptness.

· Daily processing of payments (CAD and USD) to customer accounts, ensuring payments are applied correctly as per payment remittances.

· Process remote cheque deposits to the bank.

· Prepare monthly bank reconciliations

· Investigate unmatched receipts in a timely manner.

· Monthly resolution of reconciling AR items (i.e. short payments, over payments, etc).

· Weekly review of AR Aging, contacting customers to ensure timely collections

· Maintain a detailed collections tracking spreadsheet, escalating concerns over 60 days to the manager.

· Assist with providing audit documentation related to AR billing/support and cash receipts.

· Provide customers copies of invoices as requested.

· Identify problem accounts, investigate and resolve issues relating to invoices, payment discrepancies and account reconciliation.

· Process incoming freight invoices

· Support team members in various projects and tasks

· Other duties and projects as required by the Controller

Attributes

· Minimum 1 year work experience in accounts receivable

· Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration considered an asset

· Solid work ethic

· Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills

· High level of accuracy and attention to detail

· Time management & task prioritization skills including the ability to manage multiple deadlines, determine priority and get tasks completed

· Organized, punctual and able to work with minimal supervision

· Proficient with accounting programs such as Syspro, Microsoft Office and Excel and can learn additional software programs

· Strong organization skills

· Excellent communication skills

· Works well in a fast-paced environment
