Salary Range: $55,989 - $72,785 per annum
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the Strategic Program Director responsible with K-12 education, the Digital Education Program Manager supports and further develops the exciting initiatives within this portfolio.
- Oversee the full project lifecycle of the McKenna Educator Upskilling Program, including budget management, marketing collateral, funder reports, and tracking metrics and milestones
- Develop and monitor the project budget; track expenditures, forecast costs, and ensure alignment with financial constraints
- Prepare financial reports for stakeholders and funding bodies
- Implement all program components in collaboration with the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development; monitor alignment with the EECD roadmap
- Coordinate program gatherings and meetings
- Write proposals and grants for new education initiatives as needed
- Provide research support for current and new projects as needed
- Develop, plan, and execute the annual Tech4Teachers conference
- Develop, plan, and execute the Tech4Teachers recognition dinner
- Coordinate online upskilling courses for teachers in partnership with the IBM SkillsBuild program
- Support the planning and execution of Digital Innovation Community Events (DICE) and other special community events throughout the year
- Support the planning and execution of EECD events, including Tech Lead retreats
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including government, community partners, academic collaborators, and funding bodies
- Gather stakeholder input, address concerns, and ensure project alignment with educator needs and partner expectations
- Meet regularly with digital education partners to triage project issues
- Pursue and engage with new potential partners
- Represent the McKenna Institute and promote digital education projects at relevant events as needed
- Coordinate digital education steering committees
- Respond promptly to incoming digital education requests by email, phone, or other channels
- Obtain quotes, process invoices, and liaise with vendors on all project-related activities
WHAT YOU BRING
- A bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
- 5+ years prior experience in a similar or complementary position.
Additional Strengths:
- Experience in the education sector is an asset.
- Bilingualism is required.
