The Opportunity

We are currently seeking Maintenance Supervisors (Senior Coordinators) to join our Instrumentation Maintenance, Maintenance Services, and Maintenance & Reliability Engineering Teams in Long Harbour, NL. Relocation to the Province of Newfoundland & Labrador will be required for this role.

These are permanent on-site positions, with a work schedule depending on each department's individual requirements. The working schedule may be 4x10s Monday to Thursday, 4x10s Tuesday to Friday, or a rotational schedule of 7 days on, 7 days off.

As a Maintenance Supervisor (Senior Coordinator) you will lead Mechanical and E&I Technical personnel within the Long Harbour Processing Plant facilities to ensure the proper operation of plant equipment and processes and the incorporation of maintenance best practices into the installation and maintenance procedures of equipment to achieve world-class maintenance results. Your experience and skills will work with all the various Maintenance Teams and Operations to ensure that plant efficiency is optimized without impact to safety, the environment, or the community.

Additionally, in this position you will:

  • Execute all approved maintenance work orders in accordance with maintenance procedures with respect to work methods, resource requirements, materials, and established scheduling deadlines.
  • Coordinate and oversee work scopes performed by internal and external contractors in your assigned areas.
  • Assign work in compliance with daily and weekly schedules and deviate for urgent work only as prescribed within the framework of established maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Utilize established Work Management systems to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of work and the system to continuously improve work procedures.
  • Manage emergency and breakdown situations independently, drawing on external resources as required.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Engineering, Technical Services, and Operations on capital and maintenance projects to perform all such work efficiently with minimal disruption to production operations.

About You

Education:

  • Post secondary education in a Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation program is required.
  • A Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Interprovincial Red Seal is required.
  • A P.Tech or CET designation would be an asset.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in a maintenance environment is required.
  • Previous experience as a maintenance supervisor, coordinator, or planner is preferred.
  • Previous experience with SAP is considered an asset.

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong positive relationships across multiple work groups.
