Department Overview
The Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM) program at TD is accountable for establishing TD's Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing (AML/ATF) programs to ensure compliance with applicable AML/ATF regulatory requirements in jurisdictions where TD operates.
The Enterprise Model Management (Customer Risk) is one of the core pillars of FCRM program. The mandate of this team focuses on developing, monitoring, enhancing, and managing FCRM's customer risk rating models.
Job Description
We are looking for a Business Management Specialist to join Enterprise Model Management (Customer Risk) team and support the execution, reporting, and enhancement of the ongoing model monitoring activities. The successful candidate will report to Enterprise Model Management (Customer Risk) Senior Manager.
Job Requirements
- Lead or considerably contribute to timely completion of activities related to model management, model monitoring, periodic reviews, BAU reporting, and model enhancements,
- Contribute to team activities to ensure compliance with TD's Model Risk Management requirements,
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve any of the existing model governance, monitoring, and reporting processes,
- Collaborate with FCRM stakeholders to optimize and enhance customer risk rating models and monitoring approach,
- Support the Management in developing reports and presenting monitoring/analysis results to the Executive team, Auditors, Model Validation, and other stakeholders,
- Identify and assess internal and external changes/risks that could impact customer risk rating models,
- Familiar with AML/ATF field, applicable regulations, policies, and industry best practices,
- Experience with Oracle database querying and report development,
- Familiar with Tableau dashboard development,
- CAMS certificate is an asset,
- Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills,
- Strong storytelling, slide development, and report writing skills,
- Demonstrated time management, project management, and stakeholder management skills,
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating flexibility to adjust to changing work priorities,
- Strong research and analytical skills, ability to review/analyze data and information, draw conclusions, and make appropriate recommendations,
- Support a positive work environment that promotes quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest.
Key Accountabilities
CUSTOMER
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the business management function and play a key role in the development and implementation of strategies in support of the overall business strategy,
- Plan, lead / manage and/or oversee a diverse set of work activities requiring alignment across multiple areas,
- Lead / manage the integrated implementation of policies / processes / procedures / changes in across multiple functional areas,
- Provide direction and/or input to complex, wide ranging enterprise or cross-function / business projects/initiatives as a subject matter expert and where necessary participates in identifying, designing and testing solutions and supporting the implementation,
- Facilitate key discussions and provides thought leadership to executive audience (output is roadmap and/or strategic plan/ deliverables/frameworks/ short to long term goals etc.)
- Work effectively with multiple teams across a broad spectrum of initiatives and functional domains, influencing and aligning others as needed.
SHAREHOLDER
- Adhere to enterprise frameworks and methodologies that relate to business management activities for own area,
- Actively manage relationships with corporate and/or control functions and ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements,
- Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts to the Bank,
- Assess / identify key issues and escalate to appropriate levels and relevant stakeholders where required,
- Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes and sound infrastructure an in alignment with risk appetite,
- Participate in cross-functional / enterprise initiatives as a subject matter expert helping to identify risk / provide guidance for complex situations,
- Lead relevant governance meetings or committees and related deliverables / outcomes,
- Lead / facilitate and/or implement action/remediation plans to address performance/risk/governance issues.

- Oversee and/or independently perform tasks from end to end.

- Undergraduate degree
- 7+ years relevant experience
