Location: The Mira LTC, Truro NS
Job Types: Full time, contract position
Requires proof of liability insurance
Pay: $24.09 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:

- reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Location: In person
Responsibilities:
- Assist and implement therapy programs that would allow residents to realize their maximum potential
- Monitor residents during physiotherapy programs and provides suggestions to the physiotherapist
- Document and record resident information
- Work in relation to residents' care issues and care plans that pertain to Occupational/ Physiotherapy Program
- Work with the Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist, fully support and assist the Therapeutic Services
- Attend meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a recognized Physiotherapy Assistant Program or equivalent with certificate
- Experience in long-term care is an asset
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Alzheimer Disease and related Dementia, CPR and First Aid courses would be an asset
