Summary:

EverWind Fuels is embarking on a Clean Energy Project that will create Nova Scotia's first green hydrogen production facility and unlock the potential of Nova Scotia's green economy. In addition to the Point Tupper Clean Energy Project, EverWind operates the Point Tupper Terminal which has 7.5 million barrels of storage capacity and specializes in storage, blending and transshipping of petroleum and petrochemical products.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for various administrative / clerical duties to support various departments. This is a term work experience position for a Business Administration student.

Education and Experience Requirement:

  • Currently enrolled a Business Administration (or BBA) program
  • Previous administrative experience is an asset
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to proof work for accuracy

Major Accountabilities:

  • Prepare and maintain reports, databases, spreadsheets, and files
  • Assist in the coordination of Company events, such as the Charity Golf Tournament
  • Record and prepare minutes of meetings
  • Conduct research, perform analysis and input data
  • Photocopy, scan and prepare documents, books and manuals as needed
  • Perform other routine clerical tasks as assigned for various departments
  • Ensure compliance with EverWind policies and procedures
  • Participate in the EverWind Process Safety Management System
  • Participate in Oil Spill Preparedness exercises
  • Perform other duties as required
