DEVELOPMENT & DONOR RELATIONS

The Office of Development and Donor Relations (DDR) is a unit within the University's Advancement portfolio, responsible for the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of private donations made to UNB.

Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri | 8:00 am - 4:00 pm | 36.25 hours per week (Summer Hours)

  • Ability to travel regularly between campuses (Fredericton & Saint John)
  • From time to time, attend events and meetings in the evening and during weekends

Salary Range: $44,904 - $56,128 per annum

YOUR FOCUS

Reporting to the Marketing Communications Manager in Development & Donor Relations, the Marketing & Communications Coordinator plays a significant role in the success of the campaign and Development & Donor Relations activities.

  • Support the implementation of campaign communications plans for internal and external audiences.
  • Design and manage printing of marketing materials, which includes, but is not limited to fundraising proposals, recognition pieces, fact sheets, letterhead packages and donation forms. Graphic layouts are often implemented using established branded templates in Adobe InDesign.
  • Create, edit, and promote engaging digital content to achieve strategic objectives in accordance with web content, email marketing and social media best practices.
  • Proactively consult and collaborate with colleagues in Development and Donor Relations as well other Advancement units to coordinate and leverage digital and print content and schedules.
  • Develop and maintain a working inventory of photos located in UNB's image bank for Development & Donor Relations.
  • Develop relationships and collaborate on campaign marketing-communications with colleagues across the university.
  • Coordinate photo and video shoots, including arranging photographers, videographers, models, locations and prints.
  • Assist in implementation of UNB's visual identity standards and style guides, and ensure consistency in all campaign and Development & Donor Relations specific marketing communications.
  • Assist in coordination of events as needed.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A post-secondary degree or college diploma or equivalent, relevant experience.
  • Skills and experience in graphic design, specifically the Adobe Suite.
  • Experience in marketing-related work with a solid understanding of marketing and communication principles.

  • Ability to work independently as well as an ability to take direction.
  • Team player with the ability to work comfortably in a demanding environment.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability and flexibility to meet constantly changing deadlines.
  • Knowledge of fundraising and UNB are a definite asset.
  • Recent experience with major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube) is an asset.
  • Skills and experience in digital media production are an asset.
