Your Contribution

As an Enviromental Technician, you will work in collaboration with the Hygiene, Health, and Safety Team.

This is a temporary position with a contract of 4-6 months.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Conduct, collect, organize, and submit a variety of samples for analysis
  • Record field data and prepare daily activity reports based on established templates
  • Coordinate and maintain field equipment maintenance, charging and repairs
  • Travel between worksites will be required locally, with occasional need to travel provincially or nationally to urban and remote areas
  • Perform other field and office responsibilities, as required to support Englobes multi-disciplinary projects
  • Conduct project administration tasks as required, including timesheet generation and project invoicing.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules

Your Profile

  • 0-2 years experience as an environmental consultant in hazardous materials assessment is an asset but NOT required
  • College diploma in Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences, or an environmental related field is an asset but NOT required
  • Work will fluctuate and will require working regular business hours, evenings/nights and weekends, sometimes on an emergency, immediate response basis
  • Ability to maintain flexibility and adaptability to scheduling changes and occasional overtime is required
  • Posession of a valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license is required
  • Possession of or eligibility to obtain Security Clearance
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to complex topics and concepts, working independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently problem-solve, tackle new assignments and multi-task in a busy work environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to perform detailed analysis in various software programs
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for health and safety
