The Production Supervisor is responsible to the SM to ensure all facets of aircraft maintenance, aircraft maintenance training, aircraft maintenance documentation and daily operations are maintained to the correct airworthiness standards as published in the TAM, Maintenance Process Manual, technical and administrative instructions. The Production Supervisor will provide supervision to employees..
What You Will Do:- Provide input to crew shift assignment, aircraft maintenance schedule and selection of aircraft for flight, deployment and assignment of overtime.
- Ensure aircraft maintenance is scheduled to maximize aircraft availability..
- Brief the Site Manager on corrective and scheduled aircraft maintenance.
- Perform Acting Site Manager, Acting PASM, Acting PRAA, Acting DSM duties and participate on OH & S Committee.
- Liaise with AMO, ATO and Material.
- Plan/supervise corrective/preventive maintenance, ensuring completion of PIM inspections..
- Ensure staff requirements are identified, and personnel are assigned to complete work.
- Ensure personnel adhere to airworthiness rules and standards in the TAM/MPM, technical publications and SPP.
- Audit, control aircraft Servicing Sets for correctness and completeness of maintenance. .
- Perform Servicing, Elementary Tasks and Work (First, Second, Third Level maintenance) on aircraft mechanical, structural, avioni and electrical systems and components..
- Perform aircraft release (ARA).
- Liaise with Operations staff and provide input on succession planning.
- Perform ground runs of engines and auxiliary power units.
- Lead Detachments and Deployments.
- Provide on-job-training to other employees.
- Provide mentorship to personnel and ensure personnel complete all assigned training.
- Ensure hangar, shop, stores and office areas are clean and swept.
- Enforce and adhere to policies, procedures and directives established by the Company.
- Perform other tasks as may be required from time to time.
- Thorough knowledge of aircraft systems, including, but not limited to, power plant, flight controls, dynamic systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, environmental, basic structures, avionic and power generation and distribution systems.
- Thorough knowledge of airworthiness requirements as defined in the Technical Airworthiness Manual (TAM) and Maintenance Process Manual (MPM).
- Thorough knowledge of Flight Safety reporting procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of the Company Quality System.
- Thorough knowledge of corrosion control techniques.
- Capable of reading and interpreting technical documentation such as maintenance manuals, work packages, drawings, blueprints and Standard Plant Procedures.
- Capable of performing Non-destructive Inspection.
- Ability to use standard computer programs and such specialized ones as may be necessary in the performances of the duties.
- Possess and maintain a valid drivers license and passport.
- Graduate of a CH149 type maintenance course.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in helicopter maintenance is required.
- Progressive experience in the management and leadership of an aircraft maintenance organisation, with experience in supporting operational flying programs and heavy maintenance operations and support sections/Shops.
