About the Role
Reporting to the Director, eHealth Solution Delivery, the Manager, EHR/IM Project Delivery is accountable for providing oversight and leadership to projects focused primarily on the Electronic Health Record (EHR), Information Management (IM) and corporate related solutions by ensuring that appropriate delegation of work is ongoing, addressing issues that arise in a timely and effective manner and ensuring adequate resources and support are available.
Specifically, this role is responsible for:
- Leading and directing project teams to ensure project methodologies and accountabilities are in place to lead Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Information Management (IM) related projects and support the work of teams in developing project plans to meet objectives.
- Overseeing medium to large scale, complex and diverse EHR and IM related projects ensuring successful execution of project delivery within defined budget and timelines while delegating appropriate work activities and addressing issues that arise in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensuring compliance with Project Management Office best practices and set processes and procedures.
- Collaborating with the Manager, Project Management Office to manage resourcing and resource allocation for all EHR and IM projects.
- Directing the preparation of appropriate proposals, work plans and reports to meet the requirements of funding agencies.
- Managing interdependencies and coordination across EHR and IM related projects to ensure opportunities for alignment and priority setting across the project portfolio are recognized and acted on for optimal delivery and success.
- Representing the organization on various jurisdictional committees to ensure establishment and refinement of processes and standards.
- Building and managing stakeholder relationships including senior management, clients, stakeholder groups and other departments to garner support and promote the interests of the organization.
About You
Your education and experience include:
- Undergraduate degree (Master’s Degree is considered an asset) in Business, Information Technology or a related field supplemented by relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years working in a progressively responsible resource planning and/or project management role, of which, 3 years of experience in a people management role is preferred. This experience would include leading work teams and assigning resources to support the achievement of organizational objectives.
- Experience in handling medium to large scale projects.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of:
- Experience in project and portfolio management methodologies and software systems
- Working in a project management environment
- PMP Certification preferred
- Leadership and management training preferred
