The Team Lead, Execution contributes to the overall success of Global Transaction Banking ensuring specific goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Leads and oversees a team of Senior Client Associates (SCA) and is responsible for ensuring their portfolio meets compliance to various metrics as well as monitoring any negative trends. They are specialists who possesses a strong understanding of Global Transaction Banking as well as Deposit products/services. The incumbent's team will work closely with Senior Managers, GTB to ensure the appropriate support and services are provide to client are properly identified and notified to the client.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Leads and drives a client-centric focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Lead and manage the GTB Senior Client Associates (SCA) based on the assigned regional coverage, providing guidance and direction for efficient and effective delivery:
    • Coaching them to increase business development activities with increased focus on client facing activities.
    • Ensuring they follow up on post sales activities and thorough treasury reviews for all clients on an annual basis.
    • Monitoring teams ongoing review of pricing for market and industry alignment; reviewing perform gap analysis.
  • Identify prospects and growth opportunities for Commercial Banking clients utilizing payment and cash management services and deposit options.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance, training team members on best practices and the latest requirements:
    • Working closely with GTB, understanding changes to services and deposit products, and communicating this team members and clients.
    • Assisting in delivery of various training programs as requested to ensure continually learning opportunities for the team.
  • Oversee the Preparation of Client Proposals by Senior Client Associates:
    • Ensuring the team is working closely with the Sales team to understand the client's needs and provide GTB client offerings that support those objectives.
    • Providing guidance on recommendation, pricing and fees, addressing any complexity and uniqueness of the solution, overall value added to client, profit, administration and competitive considerations.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team.


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • Post-Secondary Education (Business Degree preferred)
  • 3 to 5 years equivalent work experience in Financial Services (Commercial / Small Business) or related industry
  • Minimum 3 years managerial experience
  • Strong sales and credit management, coaching, relationship building, and leadership skills are essential, along with the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Solid understanding of the Commercial Banking objectives, strategies, and structures. The incumbent must possess tactical planning skills and implementation/ management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are essential for customer relationship building and to facilitate a positive and effective team environment.
  • Must be able to effectively articulate their views to all levels both within the Bank and externally in the marketplace.
  • Working knowledge of the Bank's compliance requirements for Commercial banking.
  • Strong decision making, problem solving, and relationship management skills.
  • Effective communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of Bank's business lending and deposit products and services

Location: This position is available in Toronto, Montreal, or Halifax.
