The Senior Manager, Process Re-design & Modernization, Global Wealth Management, contributes to the overall success of the Scotia Global Wealth Management by globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to streamline end-to-end processes, enhancing customer and employee experiences.
  • Develop strategic recommendations and target-state designs by conducting research, analyzing data, challenging existing models, and presenting actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with Businesses and control/support partners to identify and execute process improvements across key journeys.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements, overseeing project management documentation, communication and training efforts.
  • Work across Business Lines to eliminate risks and barriers that may impact project success.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Experience working within the Wealth Management and/or Private Wealth Sector.
  • Superior influencing skills with excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills in order to build consensus and obtain cooperation.
  • Drives multi-workstream projects and / or multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in improving the end-to-end customer experience.
  • A strong understanding of Project methodologies, metrics and best practices;
  • Mature and experienced judgment in weighing solutions to identified problems that balance minimizing Compliance and Operational risk with business objectives, cost and time to delivery.
  • Proven ability to work as an effective team player and partner; ability to motivate others, build trust with partners and colleagues, and work collaboratively across teams.
  • University degree with minimum 5 years related experience
  • In-depth knowledge of SWM businesses, operational processes, client journeys and regulatory environment
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and develop innovative solutions
  • Highly organized and able to handle many concurrent high priority activities and requests
  • Experience mobilizing and leading strategic initiatives is an asset
  • Strong co-ordination, strategic influencing and people management skills, to facilitate strong teamwork and co-ordinated execution of multiple deliverables
  • Strong leadership, influencing, and relationship-management skills, with proven ability to engage and lead large, cross-functional working teams effectively
