POSITION: Francophone Youth Outreach Worker
Location: Yarmouth, NS, Western Region
QUALIFICATIONS: Our organization is seeking individuals fluent in both French and English (oral and written) with an undergraduate degree in Community Studies, Human Kinetics, Psychology or Sociology or a human services diploma through NSCC who have experience working with youth and families. This is a permanent full-time position.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Reporting to the Coordinator of Community Programming, the Francophone Youth Outreach Worker provides direct support to youth and assists in connecting youth to services and resources in the community. The goal of this position is to help improve immediate and long term educational, vocational, social economic and health outcomes for young persons aged 16-24. This position plays a key role in supporting French-speaking youth in the Western Region, and the ability to communicate and build trust in both French and English is essential.
Persons considered for this position must have a clear police background check, and a clear child abuse registry check, and a driver's license.
Applicants must demonstrate fluency in French and English in their application.
