Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)

Salary: $31.43/hr
Shift: Various shifts/including weekend and night shifts

Job Description:

• Provide nursing care according to established policies, physician's orders, resident care plans, and within the RPN scope of practice
• Create a comfortable and safe environment that respects the privacy, dignity, autonomy, and individuality of residents
• Use professional knowledge to operate all equipment used in nursing care delivery
• Collaborate with the medical team, nurse specialists, and consultants to ensure effective clinical care for all residents
• Assist with general healthcare needs, including cleanliness, grooming, rest, nourishment, and therapy
• Administer medications and treatments as per guidelines and policies, including CNO and LTCA standards
• Contribute to assessments and development of care plans
• Complete documentation as required
• Demonstrate commitment to the Gentlecare Philosophy
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Unrestricted Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as an RPN
• Successful completion of Medication Administration for RPNs
• Valid CPR certification
• TB test
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations (3 doses)
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Basic computer knowledge
• Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
