The salary scale for Professional Support 2 is based on steps that range from $64,783.04 - $86,126.92. New Professional Support employees may receive up to a maximum of seven steps for relevant occupational experience which is $75,439.19 annually.

Responsabilités

What you will be doing…

The project coordinator will report to the Senior Manager Entrepreneurship and will be responsible for project coordination of activities, events, and programming in entrepreneurship across NSCC with particular focus on The Dartmouth Makerspace. This position will support the growth and development the NSCC provincial makerspace strategy, resource support, program coordination, and other similar entrepreneurial programming for makerspace development for staff and students. This role focuses on the program development that will propel students into the entrepreneurial ecosystem from a local, national, and international perspective, through the delivery of extra, co and curricular programming.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a two-year post-secondary diploma in a related discipline.
  • A diploma in Business Administration or related field in entrepreneurship or applied research would be preferred.
  • You have a minimum of three (3) years (full-time equivalent) of recent and related occupational experience in supporting entrepreneurs through business advisories and support, navigation of community partners and access to resources, and workshop delivery.
  • You are proficient in using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail, virtual meeting platforms and social media tools.
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology to create an exceptional student experience
  • You have experience in training/facilitation preparation, delivery, and evaluation. Knowledge of, and experience applying, adult learning principles would be an asset.
  • You have experience supporting/providing service to staff, students, and prospective students.
  • You have experience working in a makerspace environment

  • You show a strong commitment to community involvement through an established and evolving network with the local, national, and international entrepreneurial ecosystem

As a condition of employment, Professional Support employees at NSCC must complete a two-year (part-time) adult education program delivered by NSCC. This adult education program is a significant investment on the part of NSCC in the learning and development of new employees. To achieve regular status; all probationary, full or part-time Professional Support employees of the College must successfully complete the program within their probationary period. Term full-time Professional Support employees whose term appointment is twelve or more months are also required to participate in this program.
