The Role: Family Law Paralegal

As part of a team-focused environment, your role will be to:

  • Prepare pleadings, motion records, mediation and conference briefs, factums, affidavits, and other court documents;
  • Record all billable and non-billable functions on a daily basis;
  • Utilize computer technology efficiently and productively;
  • General office and clerical duties, including billable and non-billable functions; and
  • Other duties as required.

Every day will be dynamic and engaging. Part of your day-to-day tasks will include performing general office and clerical duties, including billable and non-billable functions, and other duties as required.

What you Bring:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Successful completion of paralegal diploma or equivalent, and 1-3 years' experience as a family law paralegal;
  • Excellent technical skills and exceptional attention to detail;
  • Accurate and efficient data entry and keyboarding skills;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines;
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to provide superior client service;
  • Knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules; and
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.

As a self-starter, you can work independently, follow instructions with minimal supervision, and take initiative. Your willingness to learn and contribute to the team will also be highly valued.
