PART-TIME INSTRUCTOR POSITION - MANAGEMENT
DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT
GERALD SCHWARTZ SCHOOL OF BUSINESS

The Department of Management in the Gerald Schwartz School of Business invites applications for a part-time instructor to teach Social Entrepreneurship (BSAD 352, fall semester only, 3 credits). The term of the appointment is from September 1 to December 31, 2024.

The Gerald Schwartz School of Business houses three departments and offers a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with several degree streams, a thesis-based honours program, a co-op option, and multiple international exchange opportunities. The Department of Management offers Majors and Honours degrees in Management and Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and International Business. The focus of the course, Social Entrepreneurship, is how entrepreneurship is combined with the tools of business to create effective responses to social needs, and innovative solutions to social problems.

The Schwartz School is a signatory to PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education), an initiative of the United Nations Global Compact.

St. Francis Xavier University is one of Canada's leading primarily undergraduate universities, nestled in the small Nova Scotia town of Antigonish within the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq People. Our historic campus is home to a population of around 4,000 students.

Candidates will be considered based on their combination of education and relevant work experience. Applicants with a completed graduate degree are preferred. Recent teaching or relevant industry/field experience will be considered an asset. The successful candidate will be foremost a collegial and innovative teacher who will excel in an undergraduate, experiential learning environment.
