Coordinator: Practice (0.5 FTE IPAC) and Education(0.5FTE)
Temporary Full-Time (40 hours/week) leading to possible PFT subject to DSLTC funding.
Your Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Coordinator of Practice and Education to augment our Leadership Team. The Coordinator of Practice and Education (PEC) is a skilled clinical, evidenced based, professional leader. The PEC is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies, work processes, policies and procedures and other supports to ensure Seaview Manor achieves exemplary practice in education and infection prevention and control. Central to the role is the leadership skill required to promote, cultivate and sustain a learning culture across the organization. Through effective engagement strategies, the PEC builds coalitions with multiple internal and external stakeholders including staff, management team and external experts to drive exemplary practice in education and infection prevention and control. The PEC has the primary lead role for establishing and evaluating educational strategies inclusive of oversight of the e-learning platform. In addition, the PEC will have a joint responsibility with the IPAC Coordinator to co manage our IPAC program and IPAC Committee.

Essential Qualifications:
· B.Sc.N Degree/Diploma in Nursing required.
· Minimum of 3 years of recent, related clinical and operational management experience in a health care environment, preferably in a long-term care setting.
· Current NSCN registration
· Proficient in the use of MS office applications
· Shows evidence of job stability and good attendance
· Previous experience as an Educator or IPAC Delegate will be considered an asset
