OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

We are seeking a talented Instructional Designer to join our team. The Instructional Designer will play a pivotal role in designing and developing engaging, learning experiences to enhance organizational knowledge and drive growth. WHAT YOU LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to analyze training needs and develop learning objectives.
  • Support the development and management of the Training Project Plan.
  • Providing input on curriculum design and development.
  • Assist with requirements gathering for training environments, users, and data.
  • Support trainer readiness- provide trainers with all materials required for training preparation and delivery.
  • Create training materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training materials, exercise guides, job aids and assessments.
  • Evaluate the impact and effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Review business process design deliverables for training requirements and input.
  • Report on course development status.
  • Communicate training related risks and issues.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in instructional design, e-learning, and educational technology.

WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU LL NEED TO DO THE JOB:

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Extensive background in instructional design and development, with a focus on executing complex projects of significant scale.
  • Prior experience with scheduling and time reporting systems is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for creating engaging learning experiences.
  • Experience in the public sector is an asset.
