Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Marketing & Communications Coordinator to join our team for a one-year term. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing awareness of FACE through various outreach channels. They will play a crucial role in engaging with the community, promoting our programs, and fostering partnerships to support our mission.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement outreach strategies to increase awareness of family and child education initiatives.
- Create compelling social media posts and manage our organization's social media accounts to engage with our audience and promote our programs.
- Design and distribute printed marketing materials, such as flyers, brochures, and posters, to reach target audiences.
- Represent our organization at community events, networking functions, and other public gatherings to raise awareness and build relationships.
- Coordinate and deliver presentations to service clubs, community groups, schools, and other relevant stakeholders to promote our programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all outreach efforts.
- Track and report on the effectiveness of outreach activities, including engagement metrics, attendance at events, and feedback from stakeholders.
- Stay informed about trends and best practices in community outreach and education to continually improve our strategies and approaches.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in marketing, or communications, preferably in a non-profit setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content for social media, presentations, and marketing materials.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including community members, service providers, and organizational partners.
- Must have a drivers license and vehicle.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in social media management tools, graphic design software (CANVA), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Passion for the early years and a commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
- Post-secondary education in a field related to communications or marketing is an asset.
