Hatchery WorkerBurtts Corner, Fredericton, NB
Advantage Personnel is currently looking for Hatchery Workers for our client in Burtts Corner, NB. This Company was formed in 2012 and has been a staple in Atlantic Canada supporting local farmers.
Hours: Monday - Saturday 6:00am - 6:00pm
Rate of Pay: $17.60 per hour
Responsibilities:
• Sorting and handling day old chicks humanely
• Loading and handling eggs for hatching
• Assist with Embrex vaccination
• Transporting eggs throughout the hatchery
• Clean and disinfect equipment using appropriate methods (high pressure, mop, washer, etc.)
• General cleaning and setting up of equipment and rooms.
• Box eggs and egg transfers
• Provide an environment free of animal cruelty, abuse and/or neglect for our poultry
• Protect the organization's value by keeping all protected and proprietary information confidential
• Practice bio security protocol, employees will shower upon arrival, before their shift
• Follow all safety processes and procedures
• All other duties as assigned
• Assist with after hour checks and putting eggs in incubators (this would not have to apply to all candidates)
Candidate Requirements:
• No backyard flock or pet birds – biosecurity
• Ability to wear a respirator if needed
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs for extended period of time
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Experience in agriculture is considered an asset
