JOB OBJECTIVE:

Join our team as an Environmental Services Worker, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining impeccable standards of cleanliness and infection control within our healthcare facility. Your dedication will ensure a safe and comfortable environment for both residents and staff. You'll contribute to the seamless operation by preparing clean linen, ensuring a steady supply for everyone's needs.

REGULAR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Embrace and uphold the vision, mission statement, and objectives of our facility, adhering to policies, infection control measures, and occupational health and safety guidelines.
• Execute general cleaning tasks diligently across various areas including resident rooms, bathrooms, common spaces, and offices, ensuring impeccable cleanliness.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as wiping railings and light switches, emptying waste baskets, and checking and replacing bulbs as necessary.
• Maintain hygiene standards by disinfecting toilets and sinks, polishing chrome surfaces, and cleaning mirrors and windows.
• Dust and sweep all surfaces meticulously, ensuring every corner is attended to with care.
• Uphold the cleanliness of laundry equipment, ensuring efficient operation at all times.
• Handle soiled linen with care, following infection control procedures and utilizing personal protective equipment as required.
• Operate washers and dryers efficiently, folding and sorting clean linen with precision.
• Monitor and report equipment malfunctions promptly to ensure seamless operations.
• Collaborate effectively with other departments, fostering a harmonious work environment.

EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES USED:

Floor machines, vacuum cleaners, mops, housecleaning carts, chemicals, Irons, clean linen carts, washers, dryers, and cleaning supplies and more.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This role involves frequent standing, walking, and physical exertion, with occasional exposure to higher temperatures and humidity levels, particularly in summer months.

WORKING HOURS:

Subject to rotation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school education or equivalent.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions effectively.
• Good physical health and stamina to fulfill job requirements.
• Strong work ethic, professionalism, and excellent communication skills.
• Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous.
