Eastern Fence is presently accepting applications for an Access Control Technician.

Eastern Fence is Atlantic Canada's largest fence company with offices in Moncton, Dartmouth, Charlottetown, Sydney, Bathurst and Saint John. We provide services to the road building industry, municipalities, governments and the general public.

Eastern Fence currently has an opportunity for an Access Control Technician out of our shop in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This is a full time position Monday to Friday 6:30am to 5:00pm. Responsibilities and Duties:

Ø Designing, installing, configuring, integrating, testing, and maintaining access control systems and fencing.

Ø Working with various access control technologies such as automatic gate operating systems, inductance loops, keypads, proximity readers, remote controls and video intercom systems.

Ø Using hand tools, power tools and other equipment to perform tasks related to job. All vehicles, tools. Equipment and PPE provided by Eastern Fence.

Ø Conducting fencing tasks including gate post installation, mounting cantilever & swing gates, terminating fence sections and setting footings for goosenecks.

Qualifications and Skills:

Ø Technical knowledge and certifications, preferably a post-secondary diploma in low voltage technician, alarm and security, or equivalent.

Ø Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address complex technical issues effectively.

Ø Attention to detail and a commitment to safety, ensuring precision and safety to yourself, others and equipment.

Ø Excellent English communication and teamwork abilities, essential for collaborating with team members, customers, and the public.

Ø Experience or knowledge in fencing is considered an asset.
