Responsabilités

Reporting to the Campus Principal, you will:

  • Support the Principal in leading campus planning by integrating the college strategic plans and college priorities to ensure Ivany Campus is creating an innovative learning and working environment for NSCC students and staff aligned with the college's mission, vision and values.
  • Nurture a culture of excellence, safety and student engagement to support the Principal in creating an inclusive, safe, and respectful learning environment.
  • Provide operational oversight and issue management support and direction to the campus management team with a focus on student life.
  • Lead the education and stewardship of student community and conduct policies on the campus.
  • Lead campus-based Student Affairs operations and campus oversight of ancillary services, including the Bookstore, Cafeteria and Food Services, student safety, student housing and student employment.
  • Champion student inclusion through enhancing programming and services for equity seeking student groups.
  • Work closely with campus operational managers to plan for, and coordinate, the full range of campus services and supports to leverage the campus infrastructure and resources to create an exceptional experience for students, staff, community, government, and industry partners.
  • In the absence of the Principal, you will act as Campus Principal in all aspects of the Principal role.
Qualifications

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a relevant degree. An equivalent sum of relevant education and experience may also be considered. A Master's Degree in Post Secondary Leadership or Education would be considered an asset.

  • You have a minimum of seven (7) years (full-time equivalent) of recent, progressively senior level leadership experience, with a strong record of relevant achievements in roles associated with the student experience. You have specific experience in post-secondary education.

  • Occupational experience that includes student affairs, human rights and equity or academic leadership would be considered an asset.

  • Experience in developing strategic plans and developing/implementing associated workplans.

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and currency in inclusive and equitable student policies and practice.

  • Experience in progressively responsible leadership roles within a large, complex organization, preferably in a unionized environment.

  • High level of proficiency in digital environments including Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.

  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology to create an exceptional student experience.

  • Experience in training/facilitation preparation, delivery and evaluation.

  • You possess excellent coordination skills specifically related to coordinating services, supports, events, and logistics.

  • You have proven records and information management skills and abilities.

  • You have strong project management skills related to change management, event management and strategic initiatives implementation.

  • You have demonstrated strength in supervising, managing and leading a team.

  • You demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence and student success.
