We have a full-time position open for a therapist who sees children, youth and families, and has experience working with survivors of sexual abuse/assault. Responsibilities:
- Working with children and families, both in individual and group settings
- Recognizing mental health disorders among children, and developing treatment plans based on clinical symptoms and disorders
- Treating child neurodevelopmental conditions through an ACE philosophy lens
- Using a variety of therapeutic interventions including person-centred, psychodynamic, trauma-informed, solution-focused, family systems, and cognitive-behavioural through a child-based format
- Advocating for the child and their family members from a culturally appropriate, trauma-informed perspective
- Consulting with in-house and external interdisciplinary professionals
- Preparing and presenting training materials for multidisciplinary professionals on varying issues relating to mental health
Skills to Succeed:
- A Master's degree in a counselling discipline
- Post-graduate direct clinical experience
- An insured member of a Professional Association (NBASW or CCTNB)
- The ability to use techniques like motivational interviewing to facilitate client involvement and change

Salary range: $65 000 to $80 000 a year based on experience and education.
