CANADA SALES MANAGER
Tropical Shipping of Canada provides weekly container service from Canada to the Caribbean and the Bahamas. Operating state-of-the-art facilities in select seaside ports to meet our customer's freight-shipping needs. We are committed to creating superior customer satisfaction and loyalty by enhancing our customer's supply chain effectiveness with convenient and reliable transportation solutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall sales effectiveness and marketing of the Canadian market. The position will be located in our Saint John, NB office.
Specific duties:
- Manage activities of sales representatives to obtain maximum productivity and sales revenue for assigned Tropical accounts.
- Solicit business from high-priority accounts.
- Manage and budget costs for Canada sales activities.
- Assist sales representatives in identifying profitable potential business and developing account strategies and action plans to secure the business.
- Participate in sales planning, short and long term forecasting, and program evaluation. Prepare sales reports and advise management of issues and progress.
- Interface with island and regional management to maximize customer satisfaction, coordinate activities and assist in determining pricing revenues.
- Travel required - domestic and international.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills along with a strong sales background with management experience. As well, the ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field.
- 3-5 years experience in sales management or marketing, specific to the shipping industry.
- Valid local driver's license and passport.
- Must be comfortable in a computerized environment with a working knowledge of MS Office software, and CRM.
