The Shaw Group is looking to add an energetic and motivated individual who will join the Manufacturing Procurement Team. The Procurement Contracts and Assets Manager will be responsible for a managing the company contracts and capital asset relationships and purchases for all Shaw sites. Activities will include but not limited to planning, negotiation, implementation, monitoring, and supplier management within these two categories. It will also include guiding buyers in contract and capital management as needed. In addition to being responsible for contracts and capital asset procurement, this position will also lead improvement initiatives with a focus on best supply chain practices. This individual will be required to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to insure successful supplier relationships.
This position may require limited travel, however all our business locations are located within NS and NB. The office from which this position will work will be in NS.
- Manage exist contract library, adding to and removing from it as necessary,
- Negotiate and implement material and service contracts,
- Perform RFPs and execute the purchases for capital expenditures,
- Ensure a high level of communication between procurement and plant personnel,
- Responsible for ERP data integrity where it relates to the managers area of responsibility,
- Leading process improvement initiatives,
- Other duties as required.
- Equivalent of 5 years industry experience in supply chain,
- Experience in the manufacturing and/or real estate business,
- Aptitude in decision-making and collecting and analyzing data,
- Intermediate Excel skills,
- High energy individual,
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills,
