The Experience Management Senior Associate is a member of the Assurance Experience Management Team contributing to the goals of maximum deployment of our practitioners and comprehensive project staffing for delivery of our engagements. Senior will develop and facilitate timely resource deployment solutions for their local client base; develop expertise and knowledge of professional staff skill sets and project requirements; analyse utilization data and deployment information and participate in developing and facilitating resource deployment strategies.

Key responsibilities

You will be responsible for the deployment; development; and capacity management of the client-serving professionals of your local group. You will support the Experience Management strategy to effectively deploy Assurance client-serving professionals and provide them with meaningful career experiences.

Deployment:

  • Meet with Partners, Senior Managers and Managers weekly to discuss staffing requirements for their clients, and to gain an understanding of specific engagement needs and deadlines. Negotiate with client serving teams to shift time or create individual availability in order to meet staffing priorities for the office/area. Update staffing tools with relevant changes after each meeting.
  • Maximize utilization by identifying imbalances, negotiating and reallocating resources to address the issues
  • Prioritize staffing decisions based on engagement risk, skills, timing, continuity and geographic considerations
  • Focuses on matching engagement needs with required skills, development opportunities and engagement risk; meets with client-serving professionals to discuss development needs and identify engagement and learning opportunities as appropriate
  • Manage staffing conflicts with all relevant parties, providing alternative staffing recommendations and escalating issues as appropriate
  • Communicate regularly with Experience Management team and/or engagement managers on the status of staffing requirements
  • Proactively monitor and highlight unassigned resources in order to minimize unassigned time, monitoring Retain to ensure accuracy
  • Monitors outstanding project/engagement resource requests and present recommendations
  • Partner with the Talent Team on Performance Management initiatives
  • Identify performance or morale issues with resources and address with Counsellor/Counselling Partner and HR as needed

Reporting:

  • Provide review and analysis of reporting on a weekly basis to line partners and market leaders, bringing to attention any inconsistencies or areas for concern
  • Assist leadership with the regular controls analysis and documentation of excessive hours and documentation of progress with staffing concerns
  • Provide any ad hoc type of reporting and analysis as required
  • Assist with the creation/maintenance of accurate personnel and client schedules

Teaming:

  • Identify ways to improve Experience Management processes
  • Work with peers across the Canadian Assurance EM team to share resources and leading practices
  • Contribute to Experience Management priorities; task forces; and/or projects

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's Degree (in Business, Project Management, HR or other related field of study) or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in a professional services firm and/or consulting firm desired
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities; strong organizational skills
  • Flexible in managing dynamic and evolving priorities
  • Strong negotiation and conflict management skills including knowing when to escalate
  • Independent and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Client service focused
  • Outstanding teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; detailed oriented
  • Overtime can be expected, particularly during busier periods (planning season, pre-busy season, etc.)

The salary range for this job in British Columbia is $59,200 to $88,800. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and work location city.
