Lawtons Drugs Continuing Care is a key facility in the Sobeys National Pharmacy Group providing high quality prescription products to many Long Term Care Nursing Homes as well as to multiple banner pharmacies across Nova Scotia. We are searching for a candidate for the position of the Facility Manager that will:

1. Play a key role in achieving departmental excellence with the aid of pharmacy automation servicing internal and external clients with professional service.
2. Achieve operational excellence by exercising leadership, providing guidance and supervision to staff members.
3. Be curiosity-driven, continuously exploring efficiencies in operational output, and embracing professional growth.
4. Be innovative and forward thinking, making this pharmacy the gold standard for long term care services and developing new offerings for central fill
5. Communicate effectively with partner nursing home facilities regarding pharmacy operations and consulting services, as well as with pharmacies regarding central fill services

Here's where you'll be focusing:

  • Ensure all prescription products are of high accuracy with strict adherence to quality control.
  • Provide effective and appropriate task delegation to pharmacy staff.
  • Provide superior customer service to Nursing Homes receiving our pharmacy services
  • Provide superior customer service to stores receiving Central Fill services.
  • Ensure product turnaround times are minimized for customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot pharmacy robotics used to dispense prescription products.

What you have to offer:

Technical Skills Required:

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong proficiency in data comprehension and presentation using Microsoft Office suites.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to be a team player in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy/Doctor of Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
  • Must be a licensed pharmacist in Nova Scotia and in good standing.
  • Previous experience in a Long Term Care pharmacy and/or Central Fill setting preferred.
  • Previous management experience is an asset.
