PAL Technical Services, a proud member of the PAL Group of Companies, is a leader in full-service aircraft maintenance from modifying a wide range of aircraft, to line maintenance, and repair and overhaul services. We provide a wide range of aviation and related services to domestic and international markets. PAL Technical Services manages all aircraft maintenance activities within the PAL Group of Companies, including PAL Airlines and PAL Aerospace. Our PAL Technical Services team play a critical role in ensuring our aircrafts are safe and reliable.

We are currently seeking qualified applicants for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers with our Maintenance, and Avionics teams to join our growing operation in Halifax, NS, supporting all aspects of the PAL Group of Companies.

Opening in June 2024, the new PAL Group of Companies Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) Hanger will serve as the base for our Maintenance and Avionics teams in the province. Based out of this new hanger, the Flight Line Operations teams will work on various aircraft across the PAL Airlines, Air Canada Express, and PAL Aerospace divisions. We believe in investing in our people. This new hangar will not only further cement our operations in the Halifax market, but also help facilitate additional growth and training opportunities for all our Aircraft Maintenance Engineers.

Our Operations:

  • PAL Airlines Flight Line: Daily line maintenance support for Eastern Canada's fastest growing regional carrier and our new Air Canada Express operations.
  • PAL Aerospace Maintenance: Daily line maintenance support for Aerospace operations, which include ISR services Air Ambulance operations, and Charter services.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Required: Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Course completed or have equivalent experience through a program such as ICS;
    • Preferred: M1/M2, or E license or equivalent rating.
  • Experience in flight line operations would be considered an asset;
  • Experience on the following aircraft is preferred:
    • Dash 8-100/200/300 and/or Dash 8-400
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment;
  • Troubleshooting skills;
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, decision-making, organization and communication skills; and
  • Knowledge of Transport Canada Regulations.
  • Type Course Certification is considered an asset
    • The standard we strive for is that Aircraft Maintenance Engineers at PAL are Type-Certified on Company Aircraft. For all qualified employees who are not already Type Course Certified, we will arrange training and cover all expenses to get you certified.
