GEMTEC currently has openings for Material Technician(s)/ Skilled Labourer(s) in our Fredericton office location.
The ideal candidates will have experience in general construction activities. Materials testing and inspection experience considered an asset.
Educational & Experience Requirements:
- College Level Diploma is considered an asset but not required
- Civil construction experience is considered an asset
- Experience with materials testing and inspection is considered an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong multi-tasking, organization, and planning skills.
- Possess ability to lift 30-50 lbs routinely as required
- GEMTEC is willing to train the successful applicant
Main Duties:
- Laboratory testing of aggregates, soils, concrete and asphalt
- Field testing and sampling of aggregates, soils, concrete, and asphalt
- Other duties as required
Position:
- Full-time seasonal and term positions are available
- Must have a valid driver's license and have access to a personal vehicle for work related travel
