Source Atlantic is seeking a Technical Manager - HVAC to join ourteamin Saint John, NB, Moncton, NB, or Dartmouth, NS.
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager - Plumbing & Heating, the key responsibilities of the Technical Manager - HVAC include:
- Provide Technical Expertise to Plumbing & Heating sales team, Branches and customers.
- Facilitate technical training for customer base, sales and branch teams.
- Contribute to selection of suppliers, products, and services as necessary, with a focus on growth of sales.
- Directly assist customers with diagnostic solutions to technical issues and challenges during and after install and commissioning of equipment, both remotely and on site.
- Provide system design expertise for HVAC Systems, geothermal, residential/commercial duct work, boiler/pump & in floor radiant sizing.
The essential qualifications are the following:
- Combination of education and in field experience as an HVAC technician
- AHRI certification
- Detailed knowledge of ductless & central heat pump systems, single & two stage heat pump systems, geothermal heat pump systems, and ventilation systems.
The following would be considered as asset qualifications:
- Gas technician licensed (G1/G2)
- Geothermal design certification
- Detailed knowledge of equipment related to residential propane & natural gas furnaces, commercial rooftop systems, and commercial VRF systems
- Training in the design of geothermal closed loop, geothermal open loop, residential ductwork, and commercial ductwork
- Training in residential heat loss/gain wright soft design software
- Training in boiler sizing, pump sizing, in floor & radiation sizing
