Your Contribution

We are hiring an intermediate data analyst to join the IT team. You will work on a wide variety of projects and with many stakeholders to contribute to both project initiatives and continuous improvement. Your main tasks will include detailed data analysis, data quality assessments, business process review, updating ERP data in coordination with Finance and other customers, and ERP onboarding for newly acquired companies. The position will focus primarily on our Vantagepoint ERP system and will focus on key datasets for budgeting, organizational data, units processing, vehicle and equipment data. To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be highly focused on understanding data quality and business processes. You will also work regularly with systems security and administration. You should be able to work well with ambiguity, engaging appropriate stakeholders in the business, IT, and project management to define workable and supportable solutions.

Data and Security Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Working with key stakeholders including Finance and IT to understand requirements;
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy with every review and/or update;
  • Understand the data flow and relations between all modules in the system;
  • Understand and maintain the integrity of the data;
  • Load data in the system;
  • Perform proper validation on all data loaded and/or extracted to provide precise and complete results;
  • Ad-hoc data extraction in any module;
  • Data mapping and loading for ERP onboarding of acquired companies;
  • Support for senior data analyst;
  • Understand solution gaps and communicate to business stakeholders when proposed data changes/solutions need refinement;
  • Administer security for our Vantagepoint systemé

Your Profile

  • Proficiency in French and English is strongly desirable;
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis or a directly related role;
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills;
  • Deadline driven - must be able to work creatively and independently to hit deadlines and ensure 'closure' on key issues;
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills;
  • Ability to influence business and technical stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions;
  • Excellent documentation skills;
  • Must be flexible to work after hours and on weekends for key project deliverables when necessary.

Technical skills:

  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems;
  • Strong data analysis skills;
  • Strong or very strong skills with SQL;
  • Learn / understand the data flow and relations between all modules in the system;
  • Some experience with ERP security is desirable;
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications:
