Your Contribution

Englobe is looking for a Senior or Intermediate Structural Engineer for a full-time two weeks on, two weeks off, rotational position on a long-term project being delivered within the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador. There is an option to fly-in fly-out or you can live in a company house, drive a company vehicle, and have all expenses paid, including your flight and a per-diem allowance. The ideal candidate can sit anywhere in Canada. If you have a strong work ethic, the drive for success, and the desire to learn, we want to hear from you.

  • Perform structural condition assessments in an operating industrial plant.
  • Prepare reports in collaboration with the lead Structural Engineer and Project Manager.
  • Perform design and analysis of structural steel and concrete elements.
  • Provide design sketches, and coordinate work with draftspersons and other engineering departments.
  • Generate deliverable documentation (i.e.. drawings and specifications) for structural projects.
  • Regularly review shop drawings, answer RFI's and develop design solutions and modifications when warranted by site conditions.
  • Provide clear and concise reporting to supervisors.
  • Execute projects in accordance with company guidelines and standards.
  • Provide feedback and innovative ideas.
  • Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's Degree considered a strong asset) with a specialty in structural engineering.
  • Professional engineer with 5 years of relevant structural design experience.
  • Working knowledge and professional application of Canadian design codes and standards.
  • Experience in designing with steel and concrete.
  • Experience in consulting engineering is an asset.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision in an industrial plant setting, while representing the company on site.
  • Must be able to complete 2 weeks on/off rotational schedule.
