We are looking for a Tax Preparer to join our expanding organization. The successful candidate will assist in completing individual and business tax returns, and will work with a team of other Tax Preparers to answer questions and resolve issues. We are seeking an individual who is organized, interested in learning, and someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Experience is an asset, but not required.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and file business and personal income tax returns.
Fill out tax forms for a company or individual.
Conduct research to assist the preparation of tax returns.
Synthesize data from various sources, such as electronic databases.
Confer with clients to gather information about their financial status.
Keep financial records for auditing purposes.
Answer the phone and schedule appointments.
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

Salary: From $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

Day shift
Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person

Certified Bookkeeper designation would be an asset;

Proficient in Quickbooks and Sage would be an asset;

Experience with Excel, Word, Outlook, would be an asset;

Experience in preparing tax returns or similar role would be considered an asset. Salary for this position will be above average compensation for the right candidate.
