Estimated Salary:
$263,672 - $285,596* as per (NLMA -MOU)
*Plus eligible bonuses/financial incentives

About Us:
NL Health Services Cancer Care Program has a provincial mandate to deliver cancer care to the people of Newfoundland and Labrador. It operates the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre (DHBMCC) in St. John's, and regional centers in Corner Brook, Gander, and Grand-Falls. Currently, we are seeking to hire two Radiation Oncologists to join our clinical team in a new Cancer Care Centre with radiation therapy services in Corner Brook, NL, and one at the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre in St. John's, NL. About the Opportunity:
The Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre is fully equipped with four linear accelerators - 2 Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators with 120 HDMLC, OBI and Varian Perfect Pitch Couch and 2 Varian C-Series linear accelerators with 120MLC and OBI, an orthovoltage unit, an HDR Brachytherapy unit, two CT-Simulators, Eclipse Treatment Planning System and ARIA Radiation Oncology information system. The Centre has active tumor boards for all major disease sites, quality assurance and site-based peer review, prostate and gynecological HDR brachytherapy and SBRT. There is a PET scanner on site at the Health Sciences Centre.

The newly built Cancer Care Centre in Corner Brook will be a satellite site with one linear accelerator and one CT simulator, and will be offering a full complement of radiation therapy techniques. This site will be an expansion of the main site and physicians will all work under the same leadership structure, with remote access to all departmental meetings, tumor boards, peer review meetings, etc.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidates will work with 10 other Radiation Oncologists who are located in St. John's. As a fulltime clinical equivalent, the successful candidates will be responsible for treating two main disease sites and one minor disease site. Services in Corner Brook will include outpatient care without an afterhours on-call service. The St. John's position will share afterhours on-call duties equally with the other physicians located at the St. John's site. Our Oncologists participate actively in multidisciplinary rounds and work closely with colleagues within the provincial cancer care program. The Cancer Care Program is affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. This position offers an opportunity for teaching and scholarly activities including clinical trials participation.

Qualifications:
" To be considered candidates must hold a MD and FRCPC in Radiation Oncology or equivalent.
" All applicants must be eligible for licensure in the College of Physicians and Surgeons of NL.
" Satisfy credentialing requirements of Services including a satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
