Martek have been a leader in property managment, sales and leasing for over 40 years. We are seeking an individual to become part of our accounting team in a fast paced property management environment. This is a full time position that is available immediatley.
Experience in accounting for residential and/or commercial real estate would be considered an assest but not a requirement.
Working knowledge of Sage, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word is a requirement. Experience with Yardi Property Management software would be an assest but training can be provided.
Responsibilities associated with this role include but are not limited to:
- processing recievables and payables;
- reconciling bank accounts;
- updating rent rolls;
- preparing payroll and related remittances;
- assist in the preparation of operating budgets;
- assist in the reconciliation of common area expenses;
- assist in the preperation of financial reports;
- dealing with client inquiries.
A strong combination of education and work experience in the accounting and/or property management fields would be considered a significant asset for this position.
This position is based in St. John's, NL and is an office based position.
