The primary purpose of Student Affairs and Services (SAS) is to support students at UNB in achieving their academic, personal and life goals. Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri | 8:15 am - 4:30 pm | 36.25 hours per week

Salary Range: $24.42 - $28.90 per hour

YOUR FOCUS

Reporting to the Manager of Residence Administration, the Residence Administrative Coordinator (Secretary PL5) is a member of the Residence team responsible for assisting with the supervision, mentoring, and evaluating of the Residence student assistant(s). Managing and improving administrative processes and their timeliness. Area-specific administrative responsibilities include residence applications, deposits, room assignments/transfers, extensions, and communications for traditional residences, Magee House, and internal UNB-owned units; liaison with key campus partners (U-First, Financial Services, Security, Registrar's Office, Facilities Management etc.).

  • Process application forms for all new and returning students based on a priority system for both academic semester and summer residence. Keep Colleague and other Residence systems up to date with all room and meal assignment information.
  • Assist with all preparations for events such as SOAR, Open House and Residence check-in including transition back to residence operations from summer operations.
  • Track room and apartment occupancy and waitlist numbers monthly.
  • Ensure ongoing maintenance of the residence key system, including the cutting and issuing of keys often daily by using a computerized program issued by the master locksmith for UNB.
  • Order lock changes on rooms/outside entrances to residences and process associated fees. Distribute appropriate keys to staff members and tenants.
  • Assign all residence student meal plans.
  • Ensure the UNB food service provider, Conference Services, and cleaning staff are provided with up-to-date information about the arrival and departure of all students during transition times.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Post Secondary Education in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related field.

  • Experience in a post-secondary environment, working with Student Information Software would be considered an asset.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships.
