Your Contribution

As an Intermediate Environmental Engineer/Professional , you will work in collaboration with the Environment

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Applying and promoting Englobe's health and safety policies;
  • Coordinating and completing assigned activities with respect to the implementation and management of environmental projects including but not limited to;
    • Phased Environmental Site Assessments, including completing historical research, site inspections, ground disturbance investigations and soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air quality, and hazardous materials sampling programs;
    • site remediation and tank removal activities;
    • Designated Substances Surveys and other hazardous materials assessments;
    • air quality investigations.
  • Remaining current with the requirements of local, provincial and federal agencies for the assessment and management of contaminated sites;
  • Appling knowledge of engineering principles to the completion of complex and difficult projects;
  • Preparing field notes and analyzing and evaluating data;
  • Writing technical reports and proposals;
  • Collaborating with other environmental professionals and technical staff;
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships.

Your Profile

  • University Degree or College Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences or an environmental related field;
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant environmental assessment/field experience;
  • Member of Professional Engineer and Geoscientists is an asset, but not mandatory;
  • Working knowledge of both provincial and federal environmental regulations;
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong report writing skills is an asset;
  • Experience in supervising contractors on the worksite;
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to complete work within established timeframes;
  • Focused on the delivery of high quality services to the client;
  • Valid driver's license;
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout Atlantic provinces on an occasional basis;
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety.
