Temporary Full-Time intermittent work on an as need/ad hoc basis. This is a locum position
Obstetrics/Gynecology, Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor and/or James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre, Gander
Definition of work: Joined by a team of physicians and nurses to provide the required services at one of the Authority's referral centres, the successful physician will be expected to provide the full scope of Obstetrics/Gynecology services which include [but are not limited to] inpatient consultation, emergency and on-call services, and outpatient clinics (inclusive of antenatal clinics, OB ultrasound, colposcopy and general gynecology clinics). The coverage of on-call commitments, including weekends and holidays, are shared appropriately amongst all Obstetricians/Gynecologists. The successful physician must work in a team-based, client-focused environment, and partner with all team members to improve employee and patient safety by integrating safe work practices, identifying risk and implementing improvements when required.

Required qualifications:
* Eligible for registration and licensure as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador
* Earned Medical Degree
* Satisfy the credentialing requirements of Central Health's Discipline of Obstetrics/Gynecology
* Work experience is an asset.
* A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance
* A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority

Hours of work: 75 hours bi-weekly; plus on-call obligations
Language: English
Benefits: Meals, accommodations and transportation will be provided (if applicable)
Salary: Salaried locum rate $1335 per day for 56 days, then $1258.75 per day or Fee-for-Service (as per the Memorandum of Agreement and Department of Health MCP Billing)
