Western Health is currently looking for a Nurse Practitioner to provide Primary Care Clinical Coverage reporting to Primary Health Care in the Burgeo Health Neighbourhood. The incumbent may be required to provide services across multiple program and health neighbourhood areas including, but not limited to, virtual care clinics, acute/ER/Fast Track, and community based services in Calder, Ramea, Grey River and Francois, with space allocation and schedule subject to change based on need. Mileage and appropriate per diems will be paid in accordance with the RNUNL Collective agreement.

Please note while these positions will be assigned a primary location, they will be required to travel throughout a designated service area providing Nurse Practitioner services across multiple program areas including but not limited to acute care, emergency/fast track, long term care, primary health care clinics and community based service. Mileage and appropriate per diems will be paid in accordance with the RNUNL Collective agreement.

Definition of Work: Expected to provide virtual and in-person coverage and a willingness to travel to communities in the Burgeo Health Neighbourhood every 6-8 weeks for in person clinic; also be responsible for LTC residents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Current registration with the Association of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador and current Nurse Practitioner License are required. The incumbent must demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships is essential. Experience working independently with limited supervision and a willingness to travel are also required. Maintaining certification in BCLS and the willingness to complete certification in ACLS, PALS, and TNCC within two years of appointment to the position are required.

In the event no suitable candidate is found with the above noted qualifications, consideration may be given to applicants who do not currently possess a Nurse Practitioner License, but are qualified to enrol in an approved Master in Nursing/Nurse Practitioner (MN/NP) program. In this case, the successful applicant must be prepared to demonstrate proof of registration/enrolment upon appointment and provide updates based on the progress of each semester of the program.

A variety of shifts including but not limited to:
0800-1600, 0830-1630, 0900-1700, 0730-1930, 1930-0730, 0800-2000, 2000-0800 Hours; Monday-Sunday as required
Salary Scale: $84,961.50 to $105,339.00
